PUBLISHING PROCEDURE
If
you are a writer shopping around for proficiency and neatness as
to how you would like your book to look like, we are the people

Accurate observance of these guidelines will potentially lower your
cost.
I.
When you make us your first choice Publishing house
1.
If you have decided to use The Gladness Productions Inc., then let
us know and we will open you a secure online account, where you
will find full instruction on how to use your profile, allowing
you to fallow every progression of the work you have assigned us.
If
you prefer things to be done by mail, we will send you a personal
info form by mail. With technology, things are easy these days.To
speedup the process you may decide to fill our online form or dowwnload
our online pdf form which serves our authers by cliking this button.
2.
Mail or courier your manuscript with the completed info form you
were sent or downloaded, to The Gladness Productions, Inc or you
may choose to contact us to be given specific information on how
and where to send it via ftp.
Please
include your cover ideas and sketches. (Manuscript must be typed
or put on disk or CD.
II.
Once we receive your manuscript:
1.
It will be carefully analyzed and assigned an inprint number.
2. We will typeset sample pages for you and draw up a contract detailing
sizes along with the price list.
3. There is no charge for this procedure.
4. Once you decide on the typeset, return the signed contract by
mail or courier it to us.
5. When the contract is received, you have authorized us to begin
working for you.
6. We also require, 50% of the total cost before actual production
begins.
7. Note that The Gladness Productions, Inc. has one of the most
workable payment plans in the publishing industry. We also accept
certified cheque, Visa or MasterCard, American Express and/or Diner
Club.
III.
Our Departments are Ready to work for you
When
your signed contract is received, The Gladness Productions, Inc.
editors, typesetters and graphic designers are now ready to work
on your book. The success of our publishing business depends on
our prompt service to you, our customer. Communication is vital,
therefore, our consultants will advise according to their experience
and knowledge in the industry. (This includes consultation on artwork,
front and back cover, binding, illustrations, etc.) Since your input
is most valuable, our staff will work closely with you to insure
that your ideas, changes and modifications are promptly put into
place according to your preference. A weekly report will keep you
updated on progress.
IV.
Editing
Once
editing has been completed the final page proofs of the book and
a color proof of the cover will be sent for your approval. ISBN,
bar code and copyright are secured in the author's name.
V.
Payment
Along
with your final approval, we will require another payment, namely,
half of the remaining cost of production. This would bring the payments
we have received from you up to 75% of the total cost. Final changes
you request will be made.
VI.
Laying of Text.
When
all final changes have been done, the text is ready to be laid on
the plates. Because this is a very delicate time-consuming process,
your last final payment of 25% of the total cost needs to be paid.
Once the payment has been secured, your manuscript will be printed,
bound, finished and packaged for shipping.
VII.
Book Shipping Cost
Note
that shipping costs are extra - The Gladness Productions Inc. will
not be responsible for any shipping charges for books it is not
assigned to market and sale to retail store.
VIII.
Pictures or Illustrations
For book requiring pictures or illustrations, they must be sent
to us with the manuscript indicating where the author wants them
placed.
Copyright registration, Paper quality of the book, Perfect Binding,
Cover Design, Covers Printing, Photographs (black and white or colored),
Diagrams, Illustrations, Translation, Number of books and Shipping
will be provided for your consideration.
NOTE:
If you live in the United States or Overseas, you are not required
to pay taxes for your book. Together with that, you may also want
to take adventage of our low dollor.
The
above applies for Canadia authors. You also will not pay taxes when
you hire us to publish your book.
We
